OpenTalk provides free online meetings to Non-Profit Organizations
Berlin, December 5, 2023 â OpenTalk, a provider of secure video conferencing solutions from Germany, is now offering its video conferencing solution to German non-profit organizations with up to 100 members for free. The aim of this initiative is to enable organizations with limited budgets and IT resources to conduct online meetings that prioritize ease of use, security, and data protection. This allows non-profit organizations to become digitally independent from international providers.
OpenTalk is a completely new solution for confidential and GDPR-compliant video conferences that runs directly in a web browser and is also offered as a SaaS service - securely powered by green energy in German data centers.
At the same time, OpenTalk offers a range of features for moderators and participants that meet the specific requirements of non-profit organizations. This includes conference planning and participant management, multi-moderator meetings, breakout rooms, automatic speaker lists, tamper-proof voting, surveys, and session logs. Its modern and user-friendly design is designed to cater to non-tech-savvy users and is designed for barrier-free use.
Digital Sovereignty for Non-Profit Work
Nearly 20 volunteer or non-profit organizations are already benefiting from OpenTalk's free offering, including the FrauenGesundheitsZentrum e.V., the German BioImaging - Gesellschaft fĂźr Mikroskope und Bildanalyse e.V. und the CISV Darmstadt e.V. - Building global friendship. Other organizations have also expressed interest.
"The non-profit sector in Germany plays a crucial role in various areas, from leisure activities for young people to support groups, citizen initiatives, and research and development. OpenTalk aims to contribute to this and fulfill its social responsibility," says Markus Michels, CEO of OpenTalk. "We are delighted to provide our video conferencing solution free of charge to support this valuable engagement."
