Frequently asked questions
How can I use OpenTalk as a private customer?
Our offer is currently aimed exclusively at business customers. As a private customer, you are welcome to use OpenTalk with our valued partner mailbox.org.
What is a licensed user and what is a participant?
A licensed user has opened a free or paid user account with OpenTalk and, depending on their contract, can schedule meetings with participants. An attendee is someone invited to a meeting scheduled by a licensed user. Participants do not need their own OpenTalk account and can dial into a conference from various devices such as telephone, desktop, mobile phone and tablet.
How many people can use an OpenTalk license?
A licensed user can hold any number of meetings. However, if multiple users want to schedule separate meetings at the same time, an additional license is required for each user.
What payment methods are accepted?
OpenTalk accepts payments by credit card (VISA, Mastercard), SEPA direct debit and PayPal. Other payment methods may be added in the future.
Where can I find the OpenTalk Terms of Use?
The OpenTalk Terms of Use can be found here.
Is there a mobile app for OpenTalk?
Currently OpenTalk is available via mobile and desktop browsers. We are also working hard on an app for mobile devices. You can now easily take part in a conference using your smartphone via the web link, or dial in by telephone. You will find the dial-in data in your invitation.
Where are the OpenTalk video conferencing servers located?
The entire IT infrastructure and the OpenTalk video conference servers are operated jointly by OpenTalk and Heinlein Hosting in two data centers in Berlin.
Which browsers are supported?
We support the latest versions of Chrome, Firefox, Edge, and further Chromium-based browsers.
Is it possible to dial in by phone?
Yes, you can use a room-specific OpenTalk number to dial into the video conference and participate without video.
Where can I get help with questions?
You can find quick answers to many questions about OpenTalk's online service as well as technical problems in our help section.

Any questions left?
We will be happy to help you with individual questions about rates and functions.
