OpenTalk at CloudFest 2022
Berlin, March 11, 2022 - OpenTalk, the provider of secure video conferences, will be exhibiting at CloudFest this year with its own booth. On March 22 to 24, 2022, cloud experts from all over the world will meet at Europa-Park Rust to exchange ideas on topics such as "Intelligent Edge Infrastructures", "Sustainable Cloud" and "New Digital World". At the OpenTalk booth, visitors will be able to experience a video conferencing system that was redesigned from the ground up to make it more accessible to all kinds of users. Unique moderation and conferencing features offer a richer experience when compared to established conferencing products. The solution is aimed at anyone who values ease of use, digital sovereignty and scalability.
CloudFest 2022 at Europa-Park
CloudFest (formerly WHD.global) will take place in Europe's largest theme park, the "Europa-Park" in Rust. 150 exhibitors from 72 countries are expected to attend. More than 250 speakers will share their knowledge about hosting, security and digitalization. The trade fair offers a unique combination of business, networking and information. At the same time, there will be plenty of fun - Europa-Park will be open exclusively to CloudFest visitors throughout the event.
Secure video conferences: digital sovereignty for the new digital world
OpenTalk GmbH is a subsidiary of Heinlein Support Holding, which also owns the well-known e-mail service "mailbox.org". For over 30 years, Heinlein has been committed to facilitating free and secure communication across its business units, enabling customers to benefit from data privacy and digital sovereignty. OpenTalk has been developed to provide businesses, schools and government agencies with a secure platform for video conferencing - on-premise or as a service (SaaS) hosted in Germany.
The video conferencing solution is based on an architecture developed from scratch, and scalability, security, and digital sovereignty were key requirements in this development. Thanks to many innovative features, such as automatic moderation for large numbers of participants, support for user groups, or private sub-room conversations during ongoing conferences, OpenTalk is particularly well-suited for business exchange, political debate, and education. The solution is highly scalable and can support hundreds of thousands of users with a high degree of parallelism, making it suitable for use in provider environments. Thanks to open interfaces, OpenTalk can be seamlessly integrated into existing systems.
Data protection without compromise - On-premise or SaaS
The solution can be autonomously deployed within a company's infrastructure, digitally sovereign and connected to the local user administration interface. Alternatively, it can also be accessed directly through a SaaS model. OpenTalk can manage your entire operation of conferences and reliably provide resources and bandwidth through the German data centers of Heinlein Hosting, with software always kept up-to-date. This provider seeks to be distinct from other, US-based cloud solutions and meets the highest data protection requirements. OpenTalk also benefits from other aspects that contribute to its security architecture: OpenTalk is open source and has been developed with the Rust programming language, considered to be particularly secure. It also supports two-factor authentication and all communication is thoroughly encrypted.
"Good communication starts with open communication and independence. That's exactly how we developed OpenTalk: as a secure alternative to other video conferencing solutions and for true data autonomy," said Peer Heinlein, founder and CEO of OpenTalk GmbH. "We have thoroughly thought through how video conferencing should be working. At CloudFest, we look forward to a lively exchange, and an opportunity to present the technical background and new features of OpenTalk."
