OpenTalk at the Internet Security Days 2024

The conference for a strong defense in IT security on September 10 & 11, 2024 at the RheinEnergieSTADION in Cologne. The program of the Internet Security Days 2024 (ISD) is as diverse as the challenges of cyber security. IT security experts, security managers and user companies have been meeting here every year since 2011.

ISD participants receive a comprehensive overview of the cyber security situation. In addition to current industry topics from IT security, computer security, data security and data protection, the ISD generally offers in-depth insights into four main topics.

In his presentation, Peer Heinlein, Managing Director of OpenTalk and the Heinlein Group, will shed light on the specifications and requirements of the NIS 2 directive and what they mean in practice. Following his presentation, Peer Heinlein will be part of the panel discussion on “Regulated Security: NIS2 and Practice”. The forthcoming NIS 2 Directive will significantly expand the group of affected critical infrastructure companies: instead of just 3,700 companies to date, almost 30,000 companies will be subject to the NIS 2 requirements in future, including new sectors that were previously hardly affected by the KRITIS requirements. In addition to securing the supply chain, the use of secure voice, video and text communication is a central component of the NIS 2 requirements. This also includes the preparation and implementation of secure emergency communication systems as part of business continuity, for which companies are responsible. The rules for securing the supply chain also apply here. In other words: We must be able to guarantee the integrity and security of our suppliers.
