OpenTalk 25.4.7: Security, stability and Outlook add-in
The latest update, OpenTalk 25.4.7, further optimises key components of the platform to enhance security, stability and user-friendliness. This release includes important bug fixes, dependency updates and new features.
New: Outlook add-in now also available for the OpenTalk Cloud Service
For the first time, the OpenTalk Outlook add-in is also available for the OpenTalk Cloud Service. The add-in enables the seamless integration of video conferences directly into the Outlook calendar. Users can create, edit and manage OpenTalk meetings directly from Outlook – regardless of the operating system or Outlook client.
Improvements to the web front-end
Targeted bug fixes have been implemented in the web front-end, including the conditional display of invitation components and the deactivation of single peer connections to resolve issues with audio management. These adjustments contribute to a more stable and reliable user experience on the platform.
Optimisations in the Controller
The OpenTalk Controller has received several updates that improve security and functionality. These include updating the build toolchain, fixing bugs in invitation processing, and correcting ACL issues. Additionally, dependencies have been updated and the documentation has been supplemented with important notes, such as the need to restart the system following certain configuration changes.
New features and bug fixes
Bugs relating to the logging of email delivery issues have been fixed to increase transparency and traceability. These changes help administrators manage the platform more efficiently and identify potential issues more quickly.
