OpenTalk 24.11.0: Improved functions for companies & authorities
Version 24.11.0 of OpenTalk is now available for all customers of the cloud service. The most important new features and optimizations at a glance:
Participant management
Participants can now join a video conference more seamlessly from the waiting room. When a participant is admitted by a moderator, they are automatically added to the meeting. This function can be activated or deactivated by the participants as required.
The โtalking stickโ function has been extended. The moderator can now flexibly decide whether they want to be added to the list of speakers.
New features
With the new poll function, participants can now select multiple answers, making the opinion-forming and decision-making process within groups more flexible.
A new feature makes it possible to legally log votes โ ideal for companies and public administrations.
The user interface for breakout rooms has also been optimized. An autofocus function makes navigation easier and improves the meeting experience.
Usability
The design of the text fields has been revised to ensure a more modern and consistent look.
The meeting filters are now integrated into the mobile view, which makes it much easier to use on mobile devices.
Known bug: disconnection of telephone participants after screen sharing
In the current release of OpenTalk, a bug has been discovered that affects call quality. If screen sharing is ended during an ongoing video conference, it may happen that the connection to participants who have joined by telephone is unexpectedly disconnected. We are already working on a solution and apologize for any inconvenience caused.
Bug fixes
The 24.11.0 version of OpenTalk also fixes bugs that occurred:
- An error where screen sharing remained active after a coffee break has been fixed.
- The chat is now also displayed correctly on smaller mobile screens.
