Open Source Experience 2025 with OpenTalk and OpenCloud
This year, Open Source Experience 2025 will take place from 10 to 11 December at the Cité des sciences et de l'Industrie in Paris. The trade fair is one of Europe's leading events for open source technologies. Trade visitors from the IT, administration and industry sectors will have the opportunity to learn about and discuss current trends, practical solutions and digital transformation through open source software.
OpenTalk will once again be represented with its own stand this year. In addition, the Heinlein Group will also be presenting its cloud solution OpenCloud on site.
Lecture by Peer Heinlein: Thuringia relies on OpenTalk
On 11 December 2025, Peer Heinlein will speak from 4:35 p.m. to 4:55 p.m. in Salle 1 on the topic:
‘Secure. Open. Proven: How Thuringia is modernising collaboration in public administration with OpenTalk’
In his presentation, Peer Heinlein will explain how the state of Thuringia has successfully introduced the OpenTalk-based video conferencing solution throughout its public administration. Under the name ThMeet, the platform is operated in the state data centre and meets the highest requirements for data protection, accessibility and seamless integration into existing administrative processes.
Presentation by Tobias Baader: OpenCloud – Introduction to Simple, Reliable File Sharing
Immediately following the OpenTalk presentation, Tobias Baader, Product Manager at OpenCloud, will introduce the OpenCloud platform as a secure, high-performance and scalable open source solution for file management, file sharing and collaboration. He will show how OpenCloud goes far beyond traditional file storage with modern functions for synchronising, collaborating on and managing files. Participants will learn how OpenCloud can be easily self-hosted without compromising on user-friendliness, scalability or digital sovereignty.
