Enhanced security and stable integrations – OpenTalk 25.4.6
With the OpenTalk 25.4.6 update, we are improving the stability of key system components and expanding the integration options for the secure organisation of video conferences. In addition to optimisations in the web front end and controller, integrations such as the Outlook add-in and the Obelisk SIP component in particular benefit from new functions and bug fixes.
The release focuses on security, reliable connections and improved content delivery within the platform.
Improvements to the web front end
Several optimisations have been made to the web front end, affecting both security and stability. Outdated functions have been removed and internal processes in the release workflow have been further automated.
In addition, downloads from the browser are now provided via a short-lived URL. This allows files to be delivered more reliably and in a more controlled manner, which is particularly advantageous in security-critical environments.
Furthermore, the front end has been rebuilt with the latest base containers to close known security gaps.
More stable connections in the controller
The OpenTalk Controller has received several technical improvements that affect stability and infrastructure. A new implementation ensures that connections to the media server can be established more reliably and known authentication restrictions are circumvented.
Enhancements for SIP integration with Obelisk
The Obelisk SIP component has also been enhanced. A new configuration option allows the source of the displayed SIP display name to be determined flexibly. This facilitates the integration of telephony systems into existing infrastructures.
Improvements for the Outlook add-in
The Outlook add-in (currently not available for the OpenTalk Cloud Service) has received several updates that affect both stability and security. Administrators can now activate a high-security mode by default to provide additional security for particularly sensitive meetings.
Numerous bug fixes also improve everyday use, for example when using shared mailboxes or displaying meeting information in invitations.
Known bug
There is currently a restriction on the subroom audio function. This is temporarily unavailable in the current version and therefore cannot be used at present. The development team is already working on a solution to make the function fully available again in an upcoming update. Thank you for your understanding.
A complete overview of all features and bug fixes can be found in the technical release notes.
