Berlin Open Source Day - Together, Digital & Sovereign!

We would like to invite you to join us at the Berlin Open Source Day of the IHK Berlin on June 19, 2024. Peer Heinlein, CEO of the Heinlein Group and OpenTalk, is a member of the plenary assembly of the IHK Berlin and initiated the Open Source Day together with representatives of the Open Source Business Alliance, the Berlin Senate Chancellery and the IHK Berlin.
Under the motto "Together, Digital & Sovereign!", we would therefore like to explore the diverse possibilities of open source with you and discuss how we can make optimal use of them for improved and secure digital administration.
Open source is not only a crucial building block for the digitization of administration, but also a driver of innovation and local value creation. Through close cooperation between business and administration, we can jointly develop secure software solutions and strengthen digital sovereignty.
The full-day program offers exciting insights into the advantages of open source, concrete application examples and insights into successful projects from other federal states. Together with experts and experienced practitioners, we will discuss how open source can drive forward the digital transformation in public administration.
In the afternoon, Peer Heinlein will present the digitally sovereign workplace for the administration in the practical track of the program. Daniel Zielke, Director of Strategic Partnerships at OpenTalk, will talk about successful procurement of open source software in the procurement track.
Speakers include:
- Sebastian Stietzel, President of the Berlin Chamber of Industry and Commerce (IHK)
- Martina Klement, CDO Chief Digital Officer of the State of Berlin and State Secretary for Digitization and Administrative Modernization
- Andreas Reckert-Lodde, ZenDIS Managing Director
