Delays

Problem

The video conference keeps freezing or lags. What can I do to solve this problem?

Cause

Internet connection: An unstable or slow internet connection can cause video conferences to freeze or lag. Check your connection speed and make sure it's good enough.

Bandwidth: Limited bandwidth, especially when other devices on the network are using a lot of bandwidth at the same time, can cause delays. Make sure that no large amounts of data are transferred in parallel.

Network Congestion: Congestion due to many users on the network may cause lag or freezes. Reduce the number of connections or switch to a higher-capacity network.

Hardware issues: Outdated or faulty hardware can affect data transfer. Check your network devices for functionality.

Software problems: Incompatibilities or errors in the video conferencing software can lead to problems. Make sure you are using the latest version and performing updates.

Firewall or security settings: Blocking or slowing down firewall or security settings can affect video conference traffic. Check the settings and grant the software the access it needs.

Solution

To fix lag or freezes during the call, try closing other applications using your internet connection, make sure your internet speed is good enough for the video conferencing tool, or restart your device.
